"One of Hampshire's Finest Gardens"

Apple Court Garden is a one acre ornamental garden on the edge of the New Forest, close to Hampshire’s beautiful coast line. Every spring, until the early autumn, we open the gates to our plant lovers paradise, packed with unusual flowers and shrubs from around the world, as well our native favourites. Here you will find a calm oasis within our old walls, and a warm welcome for a cup of tea and a slice of cake.

The garden was designed as a series of rooms and passages, each with it’s own specific planting. The Hosta Walk and Jewel borders spring into life and colour in late April, followed by roses and clematis along the Rose Walk. The Daylily Collection, holds centre stage until the grasses take over through August and into winter. In late summer lots of sub-tropical planting provides colour and exotic scent. Perhaps the most striking garden room is the White Garden, a stunning ellipse of pleached hornbeam provides the back drop for a variety of shrubs and perennials, all of which flower white at different times of the year. We also have an authentic Japanese Garden; leave the modern world behind and watch the koi carp, whilst the breeze rustles the acers and bamboo.

We look forward to welcoming you to the garden – see here for our usual opening times and location.
